Doing What We Say. Saying What We Mean.

No Fine Print. Just Clear Fees.

We’ve listed every fee right here on this page, so you know exactly what to expect. Our fees depend on your needs and complexity. Exact pricing is determined based on your circumstances, assets, income, and the scope of work involved.

Our transparent fee model includes the development of a comprehensive financial plan for each client. Depending on the relationship you choose, that integrated service is provided through either a percentage of invested assets or a flat fee-only structure.

Advice first. Choose the level of professional guidance that fits your situation.

Focused Advice, When You Need It

You have one question. We help you answer it.

Specific financial guidance or one-time planning work without committing to an ongoing advisory relationship.

SEA Explorer Plan

Financial Planning + Professional Investment Management

One integrated relationship. One streamlined fee.

The SEA Explorer Plan is a fully integrated relationship combining financial planning, tax-aware strategy, and professional portfolio management under one all-inclusive fee.

This approach is designed for clients who want ongoing financial planning and professional investment management working together rather than treating their portfolio and financial plan as separate pieces.

“SEA is like having a personal CFO on retainer...”

— What clients have told us

Your advisor and your custodian are different roles.

SEA is the fiduciary investment advisor, never the custodian. Your investments are held by The Charles Schwab Corporation (“Schwab”), one of the largest and most prominent brokerage firms in the United States, with approximately $13.04 trillion in client assets as of July 31, 2026.

This separation is important: SEA provides financial planning, investment advice, portfolio management, and ongoing oversight, while Schwab provides custody, account administration, and brokerage services.

Evidence-Based Investing

At SEA, we invest based on evidence, not predictions. We build low-cost, globally diversified core portfolios designed to hold up across market cycles — tailored to your goals, constraints, tax situation, and liquidity needs.

We coordinate asset allocation and trading across both spouses and every account we manage, so decisions get made around your whole household's picture — not account by account.

Proactive Tax Planning Is Included

Tax strategy shouldn't be separate from investment management — we run them together, year-round. That means budgeting for capital gains before you trigger them, timing Roth conversions to your lowest-bracket years, placing assets in the right accounts, and coordinating equity compensation with the rest of your plan. Built for households with real income complexity.

The SEA Difference

Advice first. Always. Evidence-based investment management, tax planning, and more with no hidden fees.

Your investment portfolio is only one part of the financial picture. SEA coordinates investment decisions with taxes, retirement income, cash flow, equity compensation, estate planning, and the other financial decisions that shape your household’s long-term outcome.

This option may be right for you if you:

  • Want ongoing financial planning and investment management together
  • Value proactive tax strategies and evidence-based investing
  • Prefer a professional to manage your portfolio directly

Services include the following:

  • Retirement income planning and distribution strategy
  • Proactive, year-round tax planning and Holistiplan analysis
  • Tax-loss harvesting and capital-gains management
  • Roth-conversion timing and tax-bracket planning
  • Asset-location strategy across household accounts
  • Investment allocation and portfolio design, including DFA strategies
  • Household-level coordination across spouses and accounts
  • Equity-compensation planning, including RSUs and ISOs
  • Estate planning coordination with your attorney
  • Business owner planning, where applicable
Our all-inclusive fee for managed assets is 1.0% on average, billed monthly.

This fee covers portfolio management in full. No separate planning subscription applies once managed assets reach $500,000 or more in managed assets (see 'Fee Offset Program' below).

Assets Under Management Annual Fee
$0 – $99,999 1.50%
$100,000 – $249,999 1.25%
$250,000 – $499,999 1.00%
$500,000 – $999,999 0.95%
$1,000,000 – $2,499,999 0.85%
$2,500,000 – $4,999,999 0.75%
$5,000,000 – $9,999,999 0.65%
$10,000,000 and above Negotiable
SEA Fee Offset Program: Clients with $500,000 or more in managed assets have their ongoing monthly planning fees waived. One integrated relationship. One streamlined fee.

Financial Planning at Every Stage of Wealth: Have Less Than $500,000 in Investable Assets? An additional project-based planning fee may apply. This fee is calculated based on the difference between the applicable AUM advisory fee and our $4,800-$6,000 comprehensive planning fee benchmark. We will explain your total costs and obtain your agreement before work begins.

Our goal is to make high-quality, fiduciary financial advice accessible to clients at different stages of their financial journey—whether you need a focused plan for today or an ongoing partner to help guide your financial future.

You do not have to move your investments to SEA to receive our financial planning. Moving your investments to SEA is not a condition of receiving financial planning. We believe you should choose how and where your investments are managed. We simply want to be transparent that the fee for a standalone planning engagement is different from the economics of a planning-plus-investment-management relationship.

You retain control over the trading of your investment accounts. SEA provides professional investment management and recommendations within the scope of our advisory relationship.

Getting started: A one-time onboarding fee of $1,975–$3,750 will apply depending on the complexity of your planning needs. Your applicable fee will be confirmed with you before your engagement begins.
